The dashed line marks 2 units a day, the UK guideline of 14 a week spread evenly.
Why this exists
The work is invisible from the inside
Cutting down mostly feels like nothing happening. There is no moment where it becomes obvious, and the days you did not drink leave no trace. Counting them is the only way they register at all, and having a number to protect turns out to matter on the evenings when the decision is close.
- The days you got through leave no evidence behind them
- Money not spent is invisible in a way money spent is not
- A run you can see is a run you are reluctant to break
- Small changes are easy to dismiss until they are added up

How it works
Using milestones and streaks
Confirm a dry day
A daily check-in is what marks a day alcohol-free. It takes a few seconds and it is what the count is built from.
Your run builds
Consecutive confirmed days form a streak. Your longest run is kept separately, so a slip does not erase what you managed before it.
Units avoided are worked out
Against the weekly drinking you described when you signed up, not against an average person. If you started at 60 units a week, that is what the saving is measured from.
Money and calories follow
Estimated from what you actually logged, so the figure moves with the drinks you really buy rather than a national average price.
What you get
In the app
Alcohol-free days and streaks
Current run, longest run, and the total across all the time you have tracked.
Units avoided
Measured against your own baseline, so the number means something specific to you rather than being a generic comparison.
Money and calories saved
Worked out from the drinks in your own log. Rough by nature, and labelled as an estimate rather than presented as fact.
Nothing awarded for nothing
Your count starts at zero and only rises on days you confirmed. There are no badges for opening the app.
Who this helps
What it changes
If motivation comes and goes
It always does. A visible run is something concrete to weigh against a decision in the moment, which is more use than willpower on its own.
If you have relapsed before
Your longest run is kept even after a slip. Losing a streak is not losing the evidence that you managed it once.
If the money is part of why you are doing this
Most people have never totalled it. Seeing three figures a month, worked out from what you actually bought, tends to land harder than any health warning.
Being straight with you
A streak you did not earn is worth nothing to you
Alcohol-free days start at nought and only count days you positively confirmed. Days you simply did not open the app do not count, because a number inflated by forgetfulness is a number you cannot trust when it matters.
Common questions
How does a day become an alcohol-free day?
You confirm it in a daily check-in. An empty day is treated as unknown rather than dry, because not logging and not drinking look identical in the data.
What happens to my streak if I drink?
The current run resets, but your longest run and your total alcohol-free days are kept. Your full history stays exactly as it was.
How is money saved calculated?
From the drinks in your own log and the units you have avoided against your starting point. It is an estimate and it is described as one, not presented as an exact figure.
