Why this exists

Weeks blur, months do not

Ask somebody how last month went and you get a feeling, not a fact. The feeling is usually shaped by the last few days. A calendar puts the whole month in front of you at once, which is where runs of days, and the gaps between them, become obvious.

  • Runs of alcohol-free days you had forgotten about
  • The clusters, where three heavy days sit together
  • The days you never logged, shown honestly as unknown
  • How the therapy work lines up with the drinking

How it works

Using consumption calendar

  1. Open the month

Every day shows its units. Alcohol-free days you confirmed are marked, and untracked days are left plainly blank rather than shaded as if they were zero.

  2. Hover or tap a day

A summary appears with what was logged: each drink, the units, and how many therapy activities you recorded that day.

  3. Open a day to edit it

Add a drink you forgot, correct a serving, or remove an entry. Everything downstream updates, including your averages, milestones and goal.

  4. Move back through the months

The full history is there from the day you started. Nothing is trimmed or archived out of view.

What you get

In the app

The whole month at once

No scrolling through a list. Thirty-one days on one screen, with the units on each.

Confirmed alcohol-free days

A day only counts as alcohol-free once you have said so in a check-in. An empty day is ambiguous, and a streak built on ambiguity is worth nothing.

Therapy activity in the same view

The number of therapy activities you recorded on a day sits alongside the drinking, with a summary below the calendar.

Edit any past day

Every entry stays editable. Correcting a mistake from three weeks ago takes a few seconds and does not require deleting anything else.

Who this helps

What it changes

If you drink in bursts

A weekly average of six units hides a fortnight of nothing followed by a heavy weekend. On a calendar, that is the first thing you see.

If you are building alcohol-free days

Watching the marked days accumulate across a month is more motivating than a number, and it makes the next gap easier to close deliberately.

If you are doing therapy alongside cutting down

Seeing an exposure or an activity on the same day as a lower total is the kind of connection that is impossible to spot in two separate records.

Being straight with you

Blank does not mean nothing

Days you never logged are shown as untracked. They are not counted as alcohol-free, they do not extend a streak, and they are left out of averages rather than dragging them down. Filling them in later is always better than leaving them.

Common questions

Can I edit a day from months ago?

Yes. Every day in your history stays open to edit, and any change recalculates your averages, milestones and goal progress.

Why is a day with no drinks not counted as alcohol-free?

Because an empty day could equally mean you forgot to log. Alcohol-free days are confirmed through a daily check-in, so the count only ever reflects days you actively said were dry.

Does the calendar show anything other than drinks?

It counts your therapy activities on each day and shows a summary of them below the drinking view, so the two records can be read together.
